Enhance your food with freshly ground pepper. My peppermills are decorative as well as useful. You'll not only enjoy the use of the mill at the diinner table, but will keep it prominently displayed for it's good looks. Peppermills are glued up from multiple layers of wood, then individually turned. I work from no set pattern,  and variations in wood grain and color insure that no two mills turn out alike. In fact one of the most difficult tasks is making a matched salt and pepper set that closely resemble each other. Mills are finished with a five coat poly process. The final step is inserting the stainless steel mechanism which is fully adjustable from coarse to very fine.  Your peppermill or the one you give as a gift will be a treasure that will be passed down to future generations.

We have handcrafted cookie jars, made of handpicked domestic and exotic woods. Cookie jars are made by a process which involves gluing up a flat board of various woods, cutting concentric rings from that board, stacking the rings up and gluing them, then turning and sanding to the finished product. The lids are glued up in a mosaic pattern and turned to size. The piece is then finished with a non-toxic, five coat poly finish, and can be rinsed out when required.

Bowls are made by two different processes. Some are turned from a solid block  on a lathe in the conventional way. Others are glued up in the same way the cookie jars are. This process allows me to offer items with a recurring  or a mosaic pattern up the sides of the bowl. All bowls are food safe and washable. No two are ever alike due to grain patterns and colors of the wood. Even matched sets of salad bowls, while made from the same specie of wood will have similar looks but small differences in the grain.
